This Victorian-style, cast iron rectangular rim lock features an exquisite original Victorian relief design, two white porcelain knobs, a key-operated dead bolt, and a privacy slide bolt. It is an antique reproduction of a turn-of-the-century rim lock.
The lock includes two knobs, two skeleton keys, a catch plate, the rim lock itself, a knob escutcheon, and a matching keyhole escutcheon. Installation hardware is also provided. All castings and interior parts are made from iron.
The lock can be used for both right-hand and left-hand doors, as it is reversible on-site. Its dimensions are as follows: 4 1/8 inches long, 3 1/4 inches tall, and 5/8 inches wide. The catch plate measures 3/4 inches long, 3 1/4 inches tall, and 5/8 inches wide. The latch backset is 3 inches. The door knobs have a diameter of 2 1/4 inches, and the escutcheon has a diameter of 1 7/8 inches. The spindle is 4 1/2 inches in length with 16 threads per inch.
